detailedMetrics

var detailedMetrics: Set<String>

Instruments that publish full distributions instead of summary statistics. Populate only for instruments whose percentiles are actually read - see DistributionAggregator for the cost.

dimensions

var dimensions: Set<String>

Attribute names promoted to backend dimensions.

exporter

var exporter: MetricExporter?

Shorthand for a single destination on the default interval - equivalent to metricReader = PeriodicMetricReader { exporter = ... }, with flushMode applied if set. Setting this and metricReader fails at construction rather than leaving one exporter silently inert.

flushMode

var flushMode: FlushMode?

Overrides the platform-derived flush mode of the reader built from exporter; rejected alongside metricReader, which carries its own. Nullable so "not configured" stays distinguishable from "explicitly periodic" - only the former is overridden by Lambda detection.

loggerProvider

var loggerProvider: LoggerProvider

Destination for the pipeline's own diagnostics - cardinality overflow, export failures, dropped datums. Silenced by default; setting a real provider is the first step in troubleshooting missing metrics.

maxCardinality

var maxCardinality: Int

Distinct attribute sets per instrument before overflow bucketing. Raising this to accommodate an unbounded dimension converts a capped cost into an uncapped one; fix the dimension instead.

metricReader

var metricReader: MetricReader?

When metrics are collected and where they go. Set this for more than one destination or interval; for a single destination prefer exporter. The two are mutually exclusive.
