# Amazon EC2 实例类型命名约定
<a name="instance-type-names"></a>

Amazon EC2 提供多种实例类型，因此您可以选择最符合您要求的类型。实例类型是根据其*实例系列*和*实例大小*命名的。实例系列的第一位表示*系列*，例如 `c`。第二位表示*代系*，例如 `7`。第三个位置表示*选项*，例如 `gn`。句点 (`.`) 后面是实例大小，比如 `small` 或 `4xlarge`，裸机实例是 `metal`。
