# UntagResource


Removes one or more tags from a resource. Specify only tag keys in your request. Don't specify the value.

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

The Amazon Resource Name (ARN) of the resource. For a list of supported resources, see [ResourceTag](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/aws-cost-management/latest/APIReference/API_ResourceTag.html).   
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 20. Maximum length of 2048.  
Pattern: `arn:aws[-a-z0-9]*:[a-z0-9]+:[-a-z0-9]*:[0-9]{12}:[-a-zA-Z0-9/:_]+`   
Required: Yes

 ** [ResourceTagKeys](#API_UntagResource_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="awscostmanagement-UntagResource-request-ResourceTagKeys"></a>
A list of tag keys associated with tags that need to be removed from the resource. If you specify a tag key that doesn't exist, it's ignored. Although the maximum number of array members is 200, user-tag maximum is 50. The remaining are reserved for AWS use.   
Type: Array of strings  
Array Members: Minimum number of 0 items. Maximum number of 200 items.  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.  
Pattern: `^([\p{L}\p{Z}\p{N}_.:/=+\-@]*)$`   
Required: Yes

## Response Elements


If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 200 response with an empty HTTP body.

 ** LimitExceededException **   
You made too many calls in a short period of time. Try again later.  
HTTP Status Code: 400

 ** ResourceNotFoundException **   
 The specified ARN in the request doesn't exist.   
HTTP Status Code: 400
