# ByteMatchSetSummary

Returned by [ListByteMatchSets](API_wafRegional_ListByteMatchSets.md). Each `ByteMatchSetSummary` object includes the `Name` and `ByteMatchSetId` for one [ByteMatchSet](API_wafRegional_ByteMatchSet.md).

 ** ByteMatchSetId **   <a name="WAF-Type-wafRegional_ByteMatchSetSummary-ByteMatchSetId"></a>
The `ByteMatchSetId` for a `ByteMatchSet`. You use `ByteMatchSetId` to get information about a `ByteMatchSet`, update a `ByteMatchSet`, remove a `ByteMatchSet` from a `Rule`, and delete a `ByteMatchSet` from AWS WAF.  
 `ByteMatchSetId` is returned by [CreateByteMatchSet](API_wafRegional_CreateByteMatchSet.md) and by [ListByteMatchSets](API_wafRegional_ListByteMatchSets.md).  
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.  
Pattern: `.*\S.*`   
Required: Yes

 ** Name **   <a name="WAF-Type-wafRegional_ByteMatchSetSummary-Name"></a>
A friendly name or description of the [ByteMatchSet](API_wafRegional_ByteMatchSet.md). You can't change `Name` after you create a `ByteMatchSet`.  
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.  
Pattern: `.*\S.*`   
Required: Yes
