About UpdateResourceMetricsConfiguration

Updates the resource metrics configuration for an Amazon Web Services resource. The MetricSelections value that you provide replaces any existing metric selections for the resource; it is not merged with them.

If you omit MetricSelections, Amazon CloudWatch removes any existing metric selection filter and collects all available detailed metrics for the resource.

This operation returns a ResourceNotFoundException if no resource metrics configuration exists for the specified resource ARN. To create a configuration, use CreateResourceMetricsConfiguration.

To update a resource metrics configuration, you must have the cloudwatch:UpdateResourceMetricsConfiguration permission. For information about scoping this permission to specific resources, see Condition keys for resource metrics configuration access in the Amazon CloudWatch User Guide.

Syntax Example

This is an example of the syntax for calling the method. It includes every possible argument and initializes every possible value. The data provided is not necessarily semantically accurate (for example the value "string" may be provided for something that is intended to be an instance ID, or in some cases two arguments may be mutually exclusive). The syntax shows the ABAP syntax for creating the various data structures.

DATA(lo_result) = lo_client->updateresourcemetricsconf(
  it_metricselections = VALUE /aws1/cl_cwtresmetricslctn=>tt_resourcemetricselectionlist(
    (
      new /aws1/cl_cwtresmetricslctn(
        it_includemetrics = VALUE /aws1/cl_cwtmetricnamelist_w=>tt_metricnamelist(
          ( new /aws1/cl_cwtmetricnamelist_w( |string| ) )
        )
      )
    )
  )
  iv_resourcearn = |string|
).
