# UpdateSpace

Updates the settings of a space.

**Note**  
You can't edit the app type of a space in the `SpaceSettings`.

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

The name of the space that appears in the Amazon SageMaker Studio UI.  
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 0. Maximum length of 64.  
Pattern: `(?!\s*$).+`

HTTP Status Code: 400

 ** ResourceLimitExceeded **   
 You have exceeded an SageMaker resource limit. For example, you might have too many training jobs created.   
HTTP Status Code: 400

 ** ResourceNotFound **   
Resource being access is not found.  
HTTP Status Code: 400
