

# Create a new channel within your private re:Post

You can create channels within your private re:Post for targeted content sharing, improved organization, enhanced privacy, and simplified permissions management. Channels are dedicated private spaces within your private re:Post and help you provide granual content access control. This feature allows you to manage access for specific users or groups by aligning with your organizational structure and business needs.

To create a channel within your private re:Post in AWS re:Post Private, follow these steps:

1. Open the re:Post Private console at [https://console.aws.amazon.com/repost-private/](https://console.aws.amazon.com/repost-private/).

1. In the navigation pane, choose **All my private re:Posts**.

1. Choose the private re:Post that you want to manage, and then choose the **Channels** tab.

1. Choose **Create channel**.

1. For **Channel name**, enter a name for your channel.

1. For **Channel description**, enter a brief description of your channel.

1. Choose **Create**.

Your channel is created and displayed under the list of channels.

**Note**  
To update the channel name or channel description, choose **Edit channel**.
