# UpdateQPersonalizationConfiguration


Updates a personalization configuration.

## Request Syntax

## URI Request Parameters


The request uses the following URI parameters.

 ** [AwsAccountId](#API_UpdateQPersonalizationConfiguration_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="QS-UpdateQPersonalizationConfiguration-request-uri-AwsAccountId"></a>
The ID of the AWS account account that contains the personalization configuration that the user wants to update.  
Length Constraints: Fixed length of 12.  
Pattern: `^[0-9]{12}$`   
Required: Yes

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

 ** [PersonalizationMode](#API_UpdateQPersonalizationConfiguration_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="QS-UpdateQPersonalizationConfiguration-request-PersonalizationMode"></a>
An option to allow Amazon Quick Sight to customize data stories with user specific metadata, specifically location and job information, in your IAM Identity Center instance.  
Type: String  
Valid Values: `ENABLED | DISABLED`   
Required: Yes
