Step 1: Create your public profile

Creating your public profile is the first step in the seller registration process. Your public profile contains information about your company that will be visible to potential buyers in AWS Marketplace.

Information required for your public profile

To create your public profile, you need to provide the following information:

Legal company name

The official registered name of your business entity. This name will appear on all legal documents and agreements.

Display name

The name that will be displayed to buyers on AWS Marketplace. This can be your legal company name or a doing-business-as (DBA) name.

Company website

Your company's official website URL. This helps buyers verify your company's legitimacy and learn more about your business.

Company description

A brief description of your company, including your products, services, and value proposition. This information helps buyers understand what your company offers.

Contact information

Contact details for customer support, including email address and phone number. This information is used by buyers who need assistance with your products.

Steps to create your public profile

Follow these steps to create your public profile in AWS Marketplace:

  1. Sign in to the AWS Management Console using the AWS account you want to use for selling on AWS Marketplace.

  2. Navigate to the AWS Marketplace Management Portal at https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/management/.

  3. If this is your first time accessing the AWS Marketplace Management Portal, you'll be prompted to register as a seller. Choose Register now.

  4. On the Create your public profile page, enter your company information in the required fields.

  5. For Legal company name, enter the official registered name of your business entity.

  6. For Display name, enter the name you want buyers to see on AWS Marketplace.

  7. For Company website, enter your company's official website URL.

  8. For Company description, provide a brief description of your company and its offerings.

  9. For Contact information, enter your customer support email address and phone number.

  10. Review the information you've entered to ensure accuracy.

  11. Choose Submit to save your public profile.

Note

You can update your public profile information at any time after registration by accessing the Account settings section in the AWS Marketplace Management Portal.

Best practices for your public profile

Consider these best practices when creating your public profile:

  • Ensure your company description clearly communicates your value proposition and the types of products you offer.

  • Use a professional and active customer support email address that is monitored regularly.

  • Verify that your company website is up-to-date and includes information about your products and services.

  • Make sure your display name is recognizable and consistent with your branding in other channels.

  • Provide accurate contact information to ensure buyers can reach you if they have questions or issues.
