# DeleteRuleGroupsNamespace


Deletes one rule groups namespace and its associated rule groups definition.

## Request Syntax

DELETE /workspaces/workspaceId/rulegroupsnamespaces/name?clientToken=clientToken HTTP/1.1
```

## URI Request Parameters


The request uses the following URI parameters.

A unique identifier that you can provide to ensure the idempotency of the request. Case-sensitive.  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 64.  
Pattern: `[!-~]+` 

 ** [name](#API_DeleteRuleGroupsNamespace_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="prometheus-DeleteRuleGroupsNamespace-request-uri-name"></a>
The name of the rule groups namespace to delete.  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.  
Pattern: `.*[0-9A-Za-z][-.0-9A-Z_a-z]*.*`   
Required: Yes

 ** [workspaceId](#API_DeleteRuleGroupsNamespace_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="prometheus-DeleteRuleGroupsNamespace-request-uri-workspaceId"></a>
The ID of the workspace containing the rule groups namespace and definition to delete.  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 64.  
Pattern: `.*[0-9A-Za-z][-.0-9A-Z_a-z]*.*`   
Required: Yes

The request does not have a request body.
