# StartActiveApprovalTeamDeletion


Starts the deletion process for an active approval team.

**Note**  
 **Deletions require team approval**   
Requests to delete an active team must be approved by the team.

## URI Request Parameters


The request uses the following URI parameters.

 ** [Arn](#API_StartActiveApprovalTeamDeletion_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="mpa-StartActiveApprovalTeamDeletion-request-uri-Arn"></a>
Amazon Resource Name (ARN) for the team.  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 20. Maximum length of 2048.  
Pattern: `arn:aws(-[^:]+)?:mpa:[a-z0-9-]{1,20}:[0-9]{12}:approval-team/[a-zA-Z0-9._-]+`   
Required: Yes

## Request Body


The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

Number of days between when the team approves the delete request and when the team is deleted.

If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 200 response.

Timestamp when the deletion process was initiated.
