Quotas
Service quotas, also referred to as limits, are the maximum number of service resources or operations for your AWS account.
Quotas for AWS services in this solution
Make sure you have sufficient quota for each of the services implemented in this solution. For more information, refer to AWS service quotas.
Use the following links to view service quotas. To view the service quotas for all AWS services in the documentation without switching pages, refer to the Service endpoints and quotas page.
AWS CloudFormation quotas
Make sure you are aware of AWS CloudFormation quotas when launching the stack in this solution. By understanding these quotas, you can avoid limitation errors that would prevent you from deploying this solution successfully. For more information, refer to AWS CloudFormation quotas in the AWS CloudFormation User’s Guide.
AWS Lambda quotas
Your account has an AWS Lambda concurrent execution quota of 1000. If the solution is used in an account where there are other workloads running and using Lambda, set this quota to an appropriate value. This value is adjustable; for more information, see AWS Lambda quotas in the AWS Lambda User’s Guide.
AWS IAM Identity Center quotas
When you share leases with additional users and groups, the solution creates account assignments in AWS IAM Identity Center. If you plan to use lease sharing extensively, be aware of the following IAM Identity Center quotas that apply to account assignments:
-
A maximum of 100 groups can be assigned to a permission set for a single AWS account. This quota cannot be increased. In practice, the solution’s limit of 20 principals per lease is reached first, so this quota is unlikely to be a binding constraint.
The solution processes assignment operations asynchronously. It rate-limits its calls to stay within the IAM Identity Center API throttling limits (a collective limit of 20 transactions per second across IAM Identity Center APIs). During periods of very high assignment volume, individual grant and removal operations might be queued and take longer to complete. For more information, refer to Quotas for IAM Identity Center in the AWS IAM Identity Center User Guide.
AWS CodeBuild quotas
Make sure you are aware of AWS CodeBuild quotas when launching the stack in this solution.
Note
By default, concurrent AWS CodeBuild quotas are low. To efficiently handle account recycling with this solution, we recommend you request a higher concurrent build quota before you launch the solution.
