# StartMLEvaluationTaskRun


Starts a task to estimate the quality of the transform. 

When you provide label sets as examples of truth, AWS Glue machine learning uses some of those examples to learn from them. The rest of the labels are used as a test to estimate quality.

Returns a unique identifier for the run. You can call `GetMLTaskRun` to get more information about the stats of the `EvaluationTaskRun`.

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

The unique identifier of the machine learning transform.  
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 255.  
Pattern: `[\u0020-\uD7FF\uE000-\uFFFD\uD800\uDC00-\uDBFF\uDFFF\t]*`   
Required: Yes

If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 200 response.

The following data is returned in JSON format by the service.

The unique identifier associated with this run.

Indicates whether or not the exception relates to a federated source.

An internal service error occurred.

HTTP Status Code: 500

 ** InvalidInputException **   
The input provided was not valid.    
 ** FromFederationSource **   
Indicates whether or not the exception relates to a federated source.

A message describing the problem.

 ** MLTransformNotReadyException **   
The machine learning transform is not ready to run.    
 ** Message **   
A message describing the problem.
HTTP Status Code: 400

The operation timed out.
