# VPC


(Private hosted zones only) A complex type that contains information about an Amazon VPC.

If you associate a private hosted zone with an Amazon VPC when you make a [CreateHostedZone](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/Route53/latest/APIReference/API_CreateHostedZone.html) request, the following parameters are also required.

 ** VPCId **   <a name="Route53-Type-VPC-VPCId"></a>
(Private hosted zones only) The ID of an Amazon VPC.   
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Maximum length of 1024.  
Required: No

 ** VPCRegion **   <a name="Route53-Type-VPC-VPCRegion"></a>
(Private hosted zones only) The region that an Amazon VPC was created in.  
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 64.
