# Adding or updating a resource policy for an ID mapping workflow

A resource policy allows the creator of the ID mapping resource to access your ID mapping workflow resource.

**To add or update a resource policy**

1. Sign in to the AWS Management Console and open the AWS Entity Resolution console at [https://console.aws.amazon.com/entityresolution/](https://console.aws.amazon.com/entityresolution/).

1. In the left navigation pane, under **Workflows**, choose **ID mapping**.

1. Choose the ID mapping workflow.

1. On the ID mapping workflow details page, choose the **Permissions** tab.

1. In the **Resource policy**, section choose **Edit**.

1. Add or update the policy in the JSON editor.

1. Choose **Save changes**.
