Release: Elastic Beanstalk Amazon Linux 2023 platform updates on August 11, 2026

This release provides new versions for AWS Elastic Beanstalk platforms based on Amazon Linux 2023. The release includes security updates. It also includes AMI, Docker, ECS based Docker, Corretto, Node.js, PHP, and Python updates.

Be aware that at the time these release notes are published, the new platform versions might not yet be available in all the AWS Regions that Elastic Beanstalk supports. It might take a few hours for the release to complete.

Applied all security updates published in the Amazon Linux Security Center on or before August 4, 2026 to all AL2023 platforms.

Updated nginx to version 1.30.4.

X-Ray daemon

Updated the X-Ray daemon to version 3.6.7.

CloudWatch Agent

Updated the CloudWatch Agent to version 1.300069.1.

Additional changes with this release

  • This release addresses an issue where an instance could stop reporting health data when a malformed line was present in the proxy server's healthd log.
