Release: Elastic Beanstalk Amazon Linux 2 platform updates on May 4, 2026

This release provides new versions for AWS Elastic Beanstalk platforms based on Amazon Linux 2. The release includes security updates. It also includes AMI, Docker, ECS based Docker, Corretto, .NET, and Tomcat updates. AI-powered log analysis now uses Amazon Nova as a fallback model for improved reliability.

Additional changes with this release

  • Added Amazon Nova as a fallback model when Claude is unavailable for AI-powered environment analysis.

  • Bundle logs now include proxy server healthd logs (/var/log/nginx/healthd/ or /var/log/httpd/healthd/), providing additional diagnostic data when you download full logs.

  • Fixed an issue where a successful deployment's health status could be lost if a subsequent inapplicable command was processed on the instance.
