# Wiederherstellen eines Root-Volumes aus dem letzten Snapshot

Das Betriebssystem auf einem Root-Volume kann aus verschiedenen Gründen beschädigt werden. Beispielsweise können Instances nach einem Patchvorgang aufgrund eines beschädigten Kernels oder einer beschädigten Registrierung nicht mehr erfolgreich gestartet werden. Durch die Automatisierung gängiger Problembehandlungsaufgaben, wie z. B. das Wiederherstellen eines Root-Volumes aus dem letzten Snapshot, der vor dem Patch-Vorgang erstellt wurde, können Ausfallzeiten reduziert und Ihre Problembehebungsmaßnahmen beschleunigt werden.
