# describe-reachability

The **describe-reachability** command determines whether the Outposts server can reach the Outpost configuration endpoint in the Region. It requires a working DNS configuration, which you can determine by using [describe-resolve](oct-describe-resolve.md).

**Syntax**

```

This command has no parameters.
