UpdateThingType

Updates a thing type.

Request Syntax

URI Request Parameters

The request uses the following URI parameters.

thingTypeName

The name of a thing type.

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.

Pattern: [a-zA-Z0-9:_-]+

Required: Yes

Request Body

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

thingTypeProperties

The ThingTypeProperties contains information about the thing type including: a thing type description, and a list of searchable thing attribute names.

Type: ThingTypeProperties object

Required: No

Response Syntax

HTTP/1.1 200

If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 200 response with an empty HTTP body.
