# GetDataCatalogEncryptionSettings

Retrieves the security configuration for a specified catalog.

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

 ** [CatalogId](#API_GetDataCatalogEncryptionSettings_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="Glue-GetDataCatalogEncryptionSettings-request-CatalogId"></a>
The ID of the Data Catalog to retrieve the security configuration for. If none is provided, the AWS account ID is used by default.  
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 255.  
Pattern: `[\u0020-\uD7FF\uE000-\uFFFD\uD800\uDC00-\uDBFF\uDFFF\t]*`   
Required: No
