# Configure Authentication Settings

1. On the primary Conductor web interface, hover over **Configuration** (cog icon) on the main menu and choose **Authentication** from the drop-down menu.

1. On the Conductor Configuration screen, change the values to suit your preferences and choose **Save**.
**Important**  
If the Authentication tab does not appear, you did not run the configure script correctly. To rerun the script, see [Run the Configuration Script for AWS Elemental Conductor File](config-cond-cf-cg-script.md).
