# DeleteLogPattern


Removes the specified log pattern from a `LogPatternSet`.

## Request Syntax

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

The name of the log pattern.  
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 50.  
Pattern: `[a-zA-Z0-9\.\-_]*`   
Required: Yes

 ** [PatternSetName](#API_DeleteLogPattern_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="appinsights-DeleteLogPattern-request-PatternSetName"></a>
The name of the log pattern set.  
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 30.  
Pattern: `[a-zA-Z0-9\.\-_]*`   
Required: Yes

 ** [ResourceGroupName](#API_DeleteLogPattern_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="appinsights-DeleteLogPattern-request-ResourceGroupName"></a>
The name of the resource group.  
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 256.  
Pattern: `[a-zA-Z0-9\.\-_]*`   
Required: Yes

## Response Elements


If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 200 response with an empty HTTP body.

The request is not understood by the server.  
HTTP Status Code: 400

 ** InternalServerException **   
The server encountered an internal error and is unable to complete the request.

The resource does not exist in the customer account.  
HTTP Status Code: 400

 ** ValidationException **   
The parameter is not valid.  
HTTP Status Code: 400
