# Save and publish views to use in a step-by-step guide in Connect Customer

View resources have versioning support. Versioning enables you to audit and even re-use the previous iterations of a view you have created and/or used in step-by-step guides. 

1. Enter a name for your view, if you haven't already done so. You can't save a view until it is assigned a name.

1. After you change your view, choose **Save** to update the resource.

1. When you are ready for a view to be used in a step-by-step guide flow, choose **Publish**. The view will now appear in the [Show view](show-view-block.md) block for you to use it in a flow

Only view versions that have been published appear in the [Show view](show-view-block.md) block for use in a flow.
