

# User Profile Settings

 Users can access their profile settings by selecting their name in the top right corner of the application and choosing **Profile** from the dropdown menu. The Profile page allows users to manage their account information, notification preferences, and data access settings. 

## Accessing Profile Settings
<a name="user-profile-settings-accessing"></a>

To access your profile settings:

1. Select your name in the top right corner of the page

1. Choose **Profile** from the dropdown menu

1. The Profile page displays your account information and settings

## Profile Information
<a name="user-profile-settings-profile-information"></a>

The Profile page displays the following account details:

 **User**: Your username 

 **Role**: Your assigned role (Admin, Manager, or Planner) 

 **Time zone**: Select your preferred time zone from the dropdown menu. This setting determines how dates and times are displayed throughout Amazon Connect Decisions. 

 **Email**: Your email address associated with your Amazon Connect Decisions account 

 **Created**: The date and time your account was created 

 **Updated**: The date and time your profile was last modified 

 Select **Save** in the top right corner to save any changes to your profile information. 

## Notification Preferences

 The Notification Preferences tab allows you to configure how you receive notifications for various system events. You can choose to receive notifications in the application, via email, or both. 

### Plans
<a name="user-profile-settings-notification-plans"></a>

 **Plan Generation Success**: Choose how you want to be notified when plan generation completes successfully. Options include in-app notifications and email notifications. 

 **Plan Generation Failure**: Choose how you want to be notified when plan generation fails. Options include in-app notifications and email notifications. 

### Insights Configurations

 **Insights Configurations Succeeded**: Choose how you want to be notified when insights configuration completes successfully. Options include in-app notifications. 

 **Insights Configurations Failed**: Choose how you want to be notified when insights configuration fails. Options include in-app notifications. 

### Data Ingestion

 **Data Ingestion Failed**: Choose how you want to be notified when data ingestion fails. Options include in-app notifications and email notifications. 

### Admin Settings
<a name="user-profile-settings-notification-admin"></a>

 Admins can configure system-wide notification settings that apply to all users. 

 **Notification retention**: Set the number of days after which notifications are automatically removed from the system. Enter a numeric value to specify the retention period. 

 Select **Save** to apply your notification preferences. 

## Assigned Scope
<a name="user-profile-settings-assigned-scope"></a>

 The Assigned Scope tab displays your data access permissions and allows you to configure how data views are filtered based on your assigned scope. 

### Data Access
<a name="user-profile-settings-data-access"></a>

 This section displays your current data access level. If you have access to all sites and products, you will see the message "You have access to all sites and products." 

### Default View Filter
<a name="user-profile-settings-default-view-filter"></a>

 **Filter views by my assigned scope**: When enabled, data views automatically filter to show only items within your assigned products and sites. Toggle this setting on or off based on your preference. 

 When this filter is enabled, you will only see exceptions, plans, and other data relevant to your assigned scope. When disabled, you may see data outside your assigned scope depending on your role permissions. 

 Select **Save** to apply your filter preferences.
