

# Managing user permission roles

## Adding users

As an Amazon Connect Decisions administrator, you can add users to access the Amazon Connect Decisions web application. Users first must be added to IAM Identity Center (IdC), and then they can be added to Amazon Connect Decisions. For more information about adding users to IdC, see [Assign user access](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/singlesignon/latest/userguide/get-started-assign-account-access-user.html).

Once users have been added to IdC, follow these steps to add a user.

1. Choose the **Settings** left-hand side drawer

1. Select **Users**. Select Assign users

1. Search to identify the user. You can search using Display Name, Email, First name, Last name, Username

1. Select **the users that you want to add**.

1. Assign them a role. View Overview of roles and permissions to learn more about User roles in Amazon Connect Decisions.

1. Select Assign. Confirm that your selections are accurate.

## Updating user permissions

To update the user permission role for the current Amazon Connect Decisions users, follow these steps.

1. Choose the **Settings** left-hand side drawer

1. Select **Users**. Select Assign users

1. In the **Users** list, select the user to open the **User details** page.

1. Use the role dropdown to update the role permissions for the user.

1. Confirm that you want to change the role by clicking the change role button

## Deleting users

As an Amazon Connect Decisions administrator, you can delete users from the Amazon Connect Decisions web application. Follow these steps to delete users.

1. Choose the **Settings** left-hand side drawer

1. Select **Users**. Select Assign users

1. In the **Users** list, select the user to open the **User details** page.

1. Select Delete

1. Confirm that you want to delete the user by clicking the **Delete** button
