# Use `DescribeScalableTargets` with a CLI

The following code examples show how to use `DescribeScalableTargets`.

**AWS CLI**  
**To describe scalable targets**  
The following `describe-scalable-targets` example describes the scalable targets for the `ecs` service namespace.

```
