# DisassociateSecurityGroupVpc
<a name="API_DisassociateSecurityGroupVpc"></a>

Note that the disassociation is asynchronous and you can check the status of the request with [DescribeSecurityGroupVpcAssociations](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/APIReference/API_DescribeSecurityGroupVpcAssociations.html).
